Although a humble flame cutting system, the resulting ten-thousand degree particle stream performs serious work in short order. With the speed of four times that of oxyacetylene, 4" plates can be pierced in as little as four seconds. A linear foot of weld can be removed in eight seconds. Stress cracks can be gouged. Pins can be pierced. Welds removed. Bucket hooks lopped off up to 12" in thickness.
Although a flame cutting process only, the ten-thousand degree resulting particle stream emanating from our flame tubes will melt through any material, even a rock. A very handy service tool, particularly when removing stubborn equipment pins. Operators can easily gouge stress cracks, lop off equipment hooks, remove hard-facing and much more using a flame process. It eats rust, scale, paint and slag. No need for surface preparation or preheating. This cutting asset gets down to work as soon as it is lit. Interesting fact: A flame tube can be ignited in several ways. Ignition can be via a battery, a flame, a smouldering pug tube and even an emergency flare. The easiest means is with our deluxe ignition can.
Recommended accessories:
If piercing large, long pins, an extender and our longer 36" flame tubes is suggested. Once the pin is pierced, water is used to shrink the pin allowing it to be removed easily from the boss.
